Lab Technician Opportunity

Smile Straight Orthodontics is proud to be part of Kids Dental Brands, a growing network of pediatric dental and orthodontic practices. Each local office maintains its unique identity while being supported by the shared resources, culture, and mission of our larger organization.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll help support orthodontic treatment by processing prescriptions, preparing digital models, and assisting with the fabrication of retainers. We're looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality results, and wants to play an important role behind the scenes in creating healthy, confident smiles.

No prior laboratory experience is required. Experience in a dental, orthodontic, or patient-facing role is helpful, but we're happy to train the right candidate. If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and enjoy hands-on work, we'll provide the training needed to succeed in this role.

What You'll Do

• Review and process orthodontic prescriptions using EasyRx.
• Edit, prepare, and print digital models for clinical and laboratory use.
• Assist with the fabrication of retainers and other orthodontic lab products.
• Ensure all prescriptions, models, and lab work are completed accurately and according to provider specifications.
• Organize, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and workspaces.
• Coordinate shipment and receipt of lab materials as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to support patient treatment needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• No experience needed
• Prior dental, orthodontic, or laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable learning new technology, software, and digital workflows.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with EasyRx, digital models, or orthodontic appliances is a plus, but not required.

$13 - $15 an hour
