Location: Pawcatuck, CT

Rate: $58/hr C2C
Type: Contract
Duration: 12+months

Job Summary: Looking for an experienced Electrical Designer with strong industrial electrical design experience to support custom machinery and control systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, machine controls, PLC I/O, VFDs, servo systems, and safety circuits in an ETO/custom machinery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Create and maintain electrical BOMs and select electrical hardware.
Design machine control systems including PLC I/O, VFDs, servo systems, and safety circuits.
Update and maintain legacy electrical documentation.
Ensure designs comply with UL508A, NFPA 79, and NEC standards.
Work closely with Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams.

Required Skills

5+ years of Industrial Electrical Design experience.
Strong AutoCAD Electrical experience.
Machine control system design experience.
Hands-on experience with PLC I/O, VFDs, Servo Systems, and Safety Circuits.
Experience in ETO / custom machinery environments.
Electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 79, and NEC.

Preferred

Allen-Bradley / Rockwell experience.
Industrial automation and machine safety.
Plastics extrusion or converting machinery experience.
Industrial machinery or custom equipment manufacturing background.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field preferred.
