This position is based in Addison, IL, at our headquarters, where you will join our Finance team. As a Cash Application Associate, you'll accurately process and apply customer payments, research unapplied cash, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records. A positive attitude and attention to detail will ensure complete customer satisfaction.We are a Certified Great Place to Work!What You'll Bring:At least one year of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or a related role.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.Solid mathematical aptitude.High School Diploma required.Associate degree in Finance or a related field preferred.What We're Looking For:Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, manage time effectively, and meet daily processing deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Comfort working independently and collaborating with internal teams.Professionalism and strict confidentiality when handling financial information.What You'll Do:Accurately process and apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts and invoices.Process and record credit card payments accurately and timely.Review daily payment activity, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and electronic payments.Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and unidentified transactions.Reconcile payment records against bank deposits, remittance details, and accounts receivable balances.Review remittance information to ensure payments are posted accurately and timely.Identify short payments, overpayments, duplicate payments, and other posting errors.Assist with researching and resolving Billtrust errors to ensure accurate payment processing and cash application.Assist with Billtrust integration and payment data transfers into the ERP system, troubleshooting errors and ensuring accurate transaction posting.Maintain accurate records of cash applications and supporting documentation.Collaborate with internal departments, including Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Accounting, to resolve payment issues.Monitor unapplied cash balances and assist with clearing outstanding items in a timely manner.Follow established financial procedures, internal controls, and confidentiality requirements.Meet daily processing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.Identify opportunities to improve cash application processes and operational efficiency.Perform other duties as assigned.Why Join Porter Pipe?Be Part of Something Bigger: Join our Finance team in Addison, where your contributions help maintain accurate customer accounts and support our business.Professional Growth: We invest in our team members, providing opportunities for learning and development.Collaborative Culture: Work in an environment where respect, teamwork, and support are at the forefront.Competitive Benefits: Enjoy a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement.Work Schedule: This is a full-time, fully onsite, Monday through Friday position, with standard hours beginning at 8:00 AM and typically wrapping up around 6:00 PM.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 15 lbs.Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.Apply Today!
