About the Job
360 CHICAGO is looking for its new Bar Manager. The role is based in Chicago, IL. You will directly report to the Director of Operations of 360 CHICAGO and work closely with the Operations leadership team. As the Bar Manager, you will be a key leader in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of our bar program, overseeing all aspects of bar service, from drink quality and menu innovation to staffing, training and inventory management.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you will contribute to guest engagement strategies, special event execution and revenue growth initiatives, making CloudBar both a memorable highlight of the 360 CHICAGO experience and a profitable department. You will collaborate with Events, Marketing and Operations to create signature offerings and promotions while maintaining compliance with all health, safety and liquor regulations. The ideal candidate will embrace and deliver the vision and values of Magnicity and will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality and a knack for creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere high above the city skyline.
You will ensure every guest receives prompt, friendly and professional service, and maintain a high-energy, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the 360 CHICAGO experience. You will address guest concerns quickly and effectively, and develop and implement strategies that drive repeat business and positive reviews.
You will oversee daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service during all shifts, and monitor drink preparation to maintain quality, presentation and portion standards. You will manage opening, closing and shift change procedures for the bar, and coordinate with the Operations team to support events, peak traffic periods and special promotions.
You will recruit, train and schedule bartenders and barbacks to meet service and business needs, and provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback and mentorship to build a high-performing team. You will foster a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with Magnicity's values.
You will maintain an accurate inventory of all beverages, mixers, glassware and bar supplies, and place and track orders to ensure cost control and minimal waste. You will oversee cash handling, POS transactions and daily reconciliation procedures, and monitor sales performance to identify trends and implement strategies that increase revenue.
You will enforce compliance with all liquor laws, BASSET regulations and company policies, ensure staff follow ID-check procedures and responsible service practices, and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards in all bar areas.
You will collaborate with the Marketing and Events teams to design and execute bar-related promotions, coordinate staffing, menu adjustments and operations for private events and seasonal activations, and develop specialty cocktails or drink packages to enhance themed events.
Your success will be measured by guest satisfaction and positive reviews, consistent drink quality and presentation, accurate inventory and effective cost control, bar revenue growth, full compliance with liquor, health and safety regulations, and a well-trained, engaged bar team.
You have at least 6 years of bartending experience, plus at least 4 additional years in a supervisory or management role.
